Hi im ben and im new to this execellent forum. I like it because it is packed full of great information to help me learn more.

But i do have a question which does not seem to be amoung the 100s of posts.

Apart from Windows 2000 which other windows operating systems can i consider as a network operating system?

linux is open source: - and has many good distributions:

some example:

[*]Fedorra Directory Server (based on Redhat):

a good Network server (like MS Directory Services)

[*]Complete Webserver (CWS) A verre good Out of the Box Webserver installation

[*]Zenwalk linux Small Lighweight Desktop linux, with just 1 aplication for every task its enought to get the job done.

also there is Open Solaris, and windows 3.11 for workgroups :thumbup
