What would you pick of these two? and do you have a different memory suggestion? If your motherboard can handle it I would buy a 1gb strip instead of 2- 512mb strips. Here is a link to a 1gb strip for $74.99 -- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...sp?EdpNo=710867
Wolf_Demon Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 don't go tigerdirect.go with the OCZ Platinum Series 1gb stick from newegg:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227209this ram is very fast and VERY reliable
cumminbk Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 yea im only going to buy from newegg cuz i have baught stuff from them forever and they do GREAT biz. also i only want to buy memory of what i feel is a good brand... Crutial, OCZ, Geil, kingston or corsiar. i coudl go 1gig strips but i dont think ill every upgrade to 4gig of ram (lots of newer boards support this) buy the time i ever did that i would buy a new motherboard. Ill prob end up buying 4x512 over time which is 2 gig and plently to last several years. im going to start out with a gig at the momen though. keep the ideas coming
Zxian Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 RAM = Hardware...Moved to Hardware Hangout...
