Sidebar in Explorer has vanished!

For some reason the bar that used to be on the left hand side of my Explorer window (had shortcuts for Network Places/control panel/copy/move that sort of thing) has vanished.

Any ideas how I get it back?

Increase the width of your window and it should come back, when u decrease size, it shows too less of everything besides that bar so i guess it removes it self.. hope this helps..

Go into "My Computer". Click "Tools" (on the menu) and go down to "Folder Options". It should bring up a screen. Under "Tasks", check the "Show common tasks in folder" choice and then press "OK" at the bottom.

Someone might have played around with it or sometimes Windows just screws itself up!

dude, if u change your performance/visual effects for winxp that side bar will disappear

check it out in the properties of my computer, look for some tabs - im usin a mac right now so i cant tell u exactly where. - but it will be there somewhere, its also located in the control panel for performance/visual etc

its one of the check boxes, that probably how u turned it off accidently
