GDragoN Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Hi,I need to make a simple dual boot disc. It should contain:1. GeexBox Linux (Mini Live Linux, 15MB)2. HirenBoot CD (50MB)How to make such a boot, the easiest way?Millan
SiMoNsAyS Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 you should know hiren's cd is warez itself and we don't support that kind of stuff here
zippido Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 (edited) The easy way would be to use MagicISO, simply1. Use a virtual CD/DVD rom program such as Alcohol 120 or Demon tools to mount the ISO of programs.2. Use MagicISO to extract iso boot info from both Geexbox and HirenBoot CD3. Then extract all files using Magic ISO (just like you would if you were burning a new CD)4. Then using MagicISO's simple boot menu creator, type in the menu such as " 1. GeexBox Linux 2. HirenBoot CD"and point each entry to the correct boot info file that you extracted earlier.5. Simple save it (which will create an Iso for you.6. Burn the iso file using any CD burning software such as Nero.7. And you should now have a fully dual bootable CD with boot menu.any problems PM me. Edited December 9, 2005 by zippido
amd64lover Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 how is hirens bootcd warez? several of the utilities are only limited and/or trial editions that require purchase of the full software to unlock all the functions....
GDragoN Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 (edited) I am really new at this multi boot stuff. I made an multi boot like this:I made entries for each iso, but I point to the iso file not extracted boot. I get image with folder that contains both images in bin format, and in root is multi boot image. When I boot, I get menu and whatever I choose I get this error:No-emulation type image (raw), read errorWhat am I doing wrong? And for your instructions, zippido, I don't understand steps 2 and 3. I can get boot info but, where to extract data and how to use it, and where to put them in the image? Millan Edited December 10, 2005 by GDragoN

GDragoN Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Thanx man, I will give it a try asap.
GDragoN Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Well, either I am stupid or I miss something.I extract boot images (bif) for 3 ISO files I want to use for boot: 2 miniLinux and Hiren:1. emoviex.bif2. geexbox.bif3. hiren.bifNow, the Section 2 is for extracting files, and here is what I don't understand. When I make new project, and drag files from the bood disk (Hiren, like you do in example) I don't see [non-bootlable] sign on the toolbar. And what I do with this files? I tried to put files from all three, but when I mount second image, files from the first are lost, because they are not copied but only linked to the device.I tried to extract all files and add them in one image then add multiboot but this not working either. When I do this, I have a content of all three images in the root of the dsik with multi boot info added, but when I try to boot either of the images, I get a bunch of errors. What exactly do I need to do here? I drag files over from one image, then what? Should I save that or what? Here is the content of every image I need to add:emoviex.iso: -> 2 folders: isolinux, movixgeexbox.iso: -> 1 folder: GEEXBOXhiren.iso -> 1 folder: BootCD -> 1 file: Readme.txtPlease, explain the section 2 better.Millan
