  1. m3n70r, sorry mate but I know its not my firmware or BIOS as, like i said in the intial post I have tried it on differnd PC thus different DVD-roms and different BIOS. phatcat42141, your a star!!! Thanks to your reply I figured out what was wrong in a round about way!! I was manunally pointing cdimage to the mboot.bin fill which seems to be the problem. Once I extract the BIF boot info using Magic ISO. Then using cdminage, point the boot section to the bif file it instead of the mboot.bin file. My multiboot DVD now boots using virtual PCs and real PCs :-)
  2. Hi Guys, I just spent the last few weeks making a multiboot MiniDVD using Magic ISO to create the boot menu, then using cdimage to compile it. Anyway I'v been using MS virtual PC to test it and to work out all the bugs, lastnight I finally got it working fine, well that is on the Virtual PC. So I burn it to DVD. Thing is that my PC seems to hang at the bit where it checking the boot options of the CD/DVD but the image and the DVD both work in MS virtual PC. It not my options in the BIOS as i have tried it on a few different makes of PC's and different Bios's. Does any one have any Idea why this could be happening or how i can resolve the issue?
  3. I started of using this guide as well but found that http://flyakite.msfnhosting.com/ guide was so much more helpfull also it explains what your doing
  4. When setting it up im guessing you have it plugged in via the USB. If this is the case the problem could be due to the driver not being installed for you XDA. I had similar problem. Try installing the Driver from the CD that came with the phone. The reason why the PC can detect the device over Infra–red isbecuse it using diverent protocals ie it only need 2 know that it is a storage device of some sort. Thats why you can send file to the device but not ActiveSynce it via Infra-red. Also Infra-red will not be enabled unless the XDA is deteted on intial setup. Additionally you will have to enable (tick) Activesync on your PC to allow Infra_Red sync. Also just a check but what version of Activesync are you using, 3.8 or 4.0 or 4.1? I have find that 3.8 is best, 4.0 and 4.1 are more for Windows mobile v5 which is on the new XDA3.
  5. Read the guides for the basics of multi-boot CDs. There is once of ERD 2003 but it works for ERD 2005 http://flyakite.msfnhosting.com/ Once you followed the instructions for ERD just do the same stuff for the other apps.
  6. Im now having Problems with BartPE nu2menu, when i copy over to the cd it over rides the xpe nu2menu! Any ideas how I can edit the setup files on bartpe and edit the nu2menu so that it is stored in a different folder (such as bartnum2menu folder instead of nu2menu folder)?
  7. Hi GDragoN, I have written a detailed step by step guide for you, for using Magic ISO entitled "Creating a Multi-Boot CD the easy way". http://rapidshare.de/files/8919847/MultiBootCDTheEasyWay.rar.html Rar password = www.msfn.org
  8. Only problem is these guides based on XP SP1 the Bartpe that i have uses XP Sp2 and I think ERD 2005 is the same. Any idea what extra files i need to edit and what I do so to them?
  9. Hi Guys and Gals, Im wanting to create a dual booting cd wthat has Bartpe and ERD Commander 2005 as options. I know that i can get a plugging to but ERD command into BartPE, but for my requirements in need to the option of using both on boot up. The thing is that both of the programs us the I386 folders. Therefore my question is what files to i need to edit so that i can change the I386 folders to something like ERD5 and BART, while still allowing me to boot the programs? I have tried using PowerPacker thinking that this woud be able to autmate teh changes for me but it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be great!
  10. The easy way would be to use MagicISO, simply 1. Use a virtual CD/DVD rom program such as Alcohol 120 or Demon tools to mount the ISO of programs. 2. Use MagicISO to extract iso boot info from both Geexbox and HirenBoot CD 3. Then extract all files using Magic ISO (just like you would if you were burning a new CD) 4. Then using MagicISO's simple boot menu creator, type in the menu such as " 1. GeexBox Linux 2. HirenBoot CD" and point each entry to the correct boot info file that you extracted earlier. 5. Simple save it (which will create an Iso for you. 6. Burn the iso file using any CD burning software such as Nero. 7. And you should now have a fully dual bootable CD with boot menu. any problems PM me.
