bondsethbond Posted December 1, 2005 Share Posted December 1, 2005 Hi all,I'm new to the board and was wondering if anybody could help me.My problem though i have many here is the one i need help withI try to play an avi video file in realplayer a message comes up saying that protions of the file can not be played, so i check for software updates for realplayerthis results in a message error telling me no updates are available the detail of this messageis "content type icm.vp31I'm i missing a codec that can decode icm.vp31 content or is my file corrupted?thanks for any help u all can give Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Reino Posted December 1, 2005 Share Posted December 1, 2005 DivX/XviD has nothing to do with VP31!The best thing you can do is installing FFDShow, go to it's "Video decoder configuration" and enable the VP31 codec on the "Codecs" tab.
