Real Player Codec help

Hi all,

I'm new to the board and was wondering if anybody could help me.

My problem though i have many here is the one i need help with

I try to play an avi video file in realplayer a message comes up saying that

protions of the file can not be played, so i check for software updates for realplayer

this results in a message error telling me no updates are available the detail of this message

is "content type icm.vp31

I'm i missing a codec that can decode icm.vp31 content or is my file corrupted?

try installing divx or xvid codecs ...

DivX/XviD has nothing to do with VP31!

The best thing you can do is installing FFDShow, go to it's "Video decoder configuration" and enable the VP31 codec on the "Codecs" tab.

And please drop RealPlayer for Media Player Classic or something!
