Thai3g_Eclipse Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Not much. There are some benchmarks floating around on the web that shows the 1MB cache only yields a very small performance increase for the dual core Athlons.

Aegis Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 Where is the cheapest place I can find the Opteron 165? On AMD's price page, the processor is under $300, but I can't find any that cheap. Also will it boot on a motherboard designed for Athlon 64's?
ripken204 Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 depends on the manufacturer. the top end manufacturers have bios. if u want to find any dual opteron then hurry and get it now, rumor is that they are not going to be available much longer. if u can find one then get one.
