Lord-Beldingfield Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 (edited) Hi,Does anyone know of any software/ tools that you can enter a Windows XP license key into to see if it is a retail, OEM or Volume License Key. Thanks Edited November 25, 2005 by Lord-Beldingfield
Sonic Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Simply enter these into corresponding CDROM if doesn't work it's not the key for the CD ^^ , but if a program exist to check that great to know ...Goodluck.
K e n Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) Opening the setup.ini in the i386 folder on your XP CD will pretty muchtell you what the status of the version isThere's 2 lines of numbers, ignore the top line. The bottom one will tell you what you want to knowThe last 3 numbers on the bottom line are either 000 or OEM or 270270 = corpOEM is obviously OEM000 can be either retail, MSDN or 180day.
