TruBlu01 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) Acrobat's site only seems to have the 521K file. Ryan's version doesn't do updates from the menu. So I'm looking for the full 7.05.Thank you Edited November 14, 2005 by TruBlu01
RyanVM Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 You should be able to allow the updater by going to this registry key:HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\FeatureLockdownand setting "bUpdater" to 1 instead of 0.That being said, here's the link to the full download:http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/read...05_enu_full.exe
TruBlu01 Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Thank's Ryan, I have done that, it just shows the Update feature, but for some reason it will not update.
RyanVM Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Well, what updates are you looking to get? 7.0.5 is the most recent...
TruBlu01 Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Well, what updates are you looking to get? 7.0.5 is the most recent...For future updates. As part of my job, I do quarterly updates on many pcs, I just want to be able click update, download and install it and move on.

TruBlu01 Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 No problem! All I was saying is that Ryans switchless 7.0 from a couple of months ago didn't have the update feature. I fixed that with the reg key and when it appeared the actual update did not work and this was on every PC I had his install on. No big deal, I just don't ant to run into that again. Thanks for the link.
RyanVM Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I don't think my 7.0.5 installer will have the same problem, since it's basically the same thing as the original download. The problem with earlier 7.0.x installers was more complicated.
Scubar Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 just thought id mention this but personally i would ditch the bloated adobe reader rubbish and use Foxit Reader instead.
