HyperHacker Posted November 15, 2005 Share Posted November 15, 2005 so, you guys been reading the deal about sony and it's dodgy rootkit then.Also, why do companies feel the need to decide i must need and want a search toolbar, or is it they think people are to lazy to open a search engines homepage.Because an IE toolbar is one of the easiest ways to get spyware into your system. In this virtual PC you can do just about anything that you could with a regular PC. I have a VM set up with a base Windows install, just for the purpose of testing out software. Who knows what kind of viruses and trojans that come unanounced with those "distributions"? Probably about as bad as the crapware that gets installed with the legit versions...
