What graphic program do I go with?

Featured Replies

I am just now getting into graphics but I was wondering what you would suggest. I have an older version of Fireworks, but have not played with it yet.

If you can afford it, I suggest Photoshop 7.0. Not the most newbie-friendly program around, but the most powerful one. Try downloading the trial version and see. Its at www.adobe.com

I'll check it out, thanks!

What do you guys think about Fireworks? Is it any good? Is it good for newbies?

The only problem I have with Fireworks is that you can only save the images as PNG file, unless I'm doing something wrong to make this happen...Someone let me know...

Go Photoshop 7...

Beginners - Paintshop Pro 7

Hardcore - Photoshop 7

Not exactly sure where this fits. - Fireworks MX :)

Gamehead. All you need to do is go to file then export.

Fireworks is more for the web developer. and does basically the same tasks as Abode Imageready that comes included with Adobe Photoshop 7.
