April 21, 200323 yr If you can afford it, I suggest Photoshop 7.0. Not the most newbie-friendly program around, but the most powerful one. Try downloading the trial version and see. Its at www.adobe.com

April 21, 200323 yr The only problem I have with Fireworks is that you can only save the images as PNG file, unless I'm doing something wrong to make this happen...Someone let me know...Go Photoshop 7...

April 21, 200323 yr Fireworks is more for the web developer. and does basically the same tasks as Abode Imageready that comes included with Adobe Photoshop 7.
