Innocent Devil Posted October 23, 2005 Share Posted October 23, 2005 MS-DOS doesnt support SATA ? isn't it ?so im using FreeDOS ,how to create a free DOS boot disc with format,fdisk etc commands and SmartDriveto XP start setup directly frm HDD ---to avoid istalling frm CD and do it frm HDD --might speedup installation, ? Innocent Devil Posted October 23, 2005 Author Share Posted October 23, 2005 Oh Yes i hav SATA-I HDDin that 1 partition is FAT32 --remaining 4 are NTFSby booting frm FreeDOS floppy it mounted the FAT32 partition as C:\ i can access it with R/W supportbut only in 8.3 format Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
