i feel excited :w00t:, like the day hl2 was released, quake3, UT...

i'm wondering how my system will run it... (it was said "if you were able to play D3, you'll be able to play Q4" but on system requirements my 9600 is not listed :})

Now to find the .torrent....

Done.

Now I wonder if my Ti4200 well stand up to the task. Hmm.

I think it might be time to upgrade to that 7800GT.... Yeh, definately time to upgrade.

Now now..... suryad please dont run around showering DIS-compliments all over...

As for The Ti4200, it still is pretty good. And its a DX8 part. AND.... it can run Quake4 alright.

Wow isnt the quake game based on the Doom3 engine? It is impressive if the 4200 can really play it..but wont you be losing out the benefits of all the eye candy? No DIS-respect meant at all!!

Yeh, no shader model 2.0, let alone 3.0. But it will still run at decent frames. Remember though that the 4200 is a bit better then a 9600 vonilla. But I figure I'll upgrade my card to a 7800 GT after exams - mmm working full time on a 95% desposible income is soooo sweet.

You might want to rethink the 7800 gt card......check out the news at www.hexus.net and www.firingsquad.com as for the brand new performance of the ATI in Opengl games. I s**t you not you wont believe it! Nvidia getting its a** handed to it!

a little review: great game for fans of the series or FPS' lovers.

pros; doom3 engine, stroggs looking better than ever. really playable and funny. multiplayer similar to q3 and storyline from q2.

cons; sometimes it looks too much like doom3. loading times are a pain in the a**

screens on a 3000+@3,3ghz and 9600 pro (about 30/40 fps)

to be honest, Quake 4 is nothing more than Doom 3 with different characters. I think its worse than Doom 3 also. The movies however are very good. Certainly another overhyped title
