Add/remove Programs Error

Featured Replies

i just noticed i get this message when i go into add/remove programs

"Parser Message"

-Value creation failed at line 472

This morning i did a restore to yesterday and it fixed it.

Then installed stylexp. Stoped working

Unistalled it from the start menu. Worked. once.

Now i'm stuck with a non working add/remove programs thingy

No.

It's the theme that you're using. Specifically it's the shellstyle. You can do one of three things:

1. Find an updated version of your theme.

2. Remove the Shell folder in your theme dir.

3. Use a different theme.

The file in question will be located at X:\Windows\Resources\Themes\<yout theme>\Shell

edit: It was covered here a little while ago :)

Some hacked themes causes the error in Add/Remove. Switch back to Classic/Luna, and then Add/Remove will work as it should. When you've finished, switch back to your favourite theme!

bah, sed beat me to it, lol :)
