October 4, 200520 yr Is there anyway I can get a program that turns a thumbdrive into a password? Basically I want to use it as a key sortof, like the computer doesnt boot into windows, or doesnt logon to windows or some way that basically completely disables the computer without having a particular thumbdrive inserted. Any help is apreciated.
October 4, 200520 yr I think older versions of Windows would actually run the autorun programs on those at the logon screen (rofl), so you could put a program on it that automatically enters the password, and make the password some huge string of gibberish. Otherwise I think you'd need a custom bootloader or at least a program that 'locks' Windows until the key is inserted.
October 4, 200520 yr There is such a thing that you'd put between the IDE cable of the main hard drive and the drive itself... The only way to access the hard drive would be to insert the "key" into the USB port...

December 3, 200520 yr C'Lock is garbage. It's installer tells you how to defeat it. Simply get into the bios and change the boot devices and boot from cd. And the bios password is so easy to defeat.
