aspenjim
Search google or ms for tweakui for xp. After you instal it go towards the bottom of the list and look for logon (or autologon) and you can set the default user there.http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspxand choose tweakui and choose the 147k d/laj Edited September 17, 2005 by aspenjim

drscouse
The best place to start is here:http://unattended.msfn.org/intermediate/users.htmYou will have to change the Autologn from Yes to No in winnt.sif, this is for the default Admin account. Disabling this, means the info in the above link for NET USER will create your own account, and autologon to that instead.http://unattended.msfn.org/global/referenc...m#guiunattendedGuiUnattended]AutoLogon = NoAutoLogonCount = 1There are also a few other things you may want to look at, as I have customised my Unattended disk to work in the following way, as I to did not want to apply regtweaks etc to default admin account.http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=56184http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=56128I am assuming you are talking Unattended, as this is the approriate sub-forum?What I have managed to do is:Install XPFirst Boot into my own Admin accountInstall hotfixes, drivers...RebootLog back in to my own Admin accountInstall apps/tweaks etc...Reboot back to login screenWill be happy to help if you need it....Good luck! Gee
I assume your complaint is about registry tweaks not being applied to your user account. The easiest solution is to apply the tweaks toHKEY_USERS\.DEFAULTas opposed toHKEY_CURRENT_USER
drscouse
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULTWho would this apply to??
Gee
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULTWho would this apply to??<{POST_SNAPBACK}>It would apply to ALL USERS, every account that gets created now and in the future. This is to answer Adiel's original question. MHz
I assume your complaint is about registry tweaks not being applied to your user account. The easiest solution is to apply the tweaks toHKEY_USERS\.DEFAULTas opposed toHKEY_CURRENT_USER<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I prefer to apply tweaks at Cmdlines.txt before any accounts are created. Any HKEY_CURRENT_USER tweaks are automatically redirected to the default user. Future accounts inherit the tweaks. This is by far the easiest method.Installing apps can be done to the correct account as drscouse has mentioned or for all users if installed directly from a script executing the installations from Cmdlines.txt Edited September 18, 2005 by MHz
