KamiQuazi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I have a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum Edition Motherboard... and the ram is supposeD to take up to 3.4 v... to allow it to get better timings.. but my boarD will only let me get to 2.85v anD then no more power for me...Link to RAmOCZ EL DDR PC-3200 / 400MHz / Gold Series / Voltage eXtreme / Dual Channelanyone know a way arounD this?
Weed Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 the only workaround would be the ocz ddr booster but ur mainboard is not supportedit was a bad choice to buy this one, i would recommend PC-3200 rev. 2 platinumu can go up to 280+ with this one with loosen timings of course but still good timingsif u r not goin up to 240+ then u will have very tight timings
ripken204 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 told u to get the dfi, lol, but u wanted all of those pci's
Weed Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 yes dfi lp nf4 is definitly the best board for overclockin and for high voltages over 3,5v, though its the only one the supports high voltages with many bios settings...so best is to exchane ur ram to pc-3200 rev 2 or buy a dfi board o_O
KamiQuazi Posted September 17, 2005 Author Posted September 17, 2005 ****...lol... this sucks... I neeD all of my PCI slots for all of my expansion carDs... Guess i'll just stay with my 2-3-3-8 for now... lol... i'll buy better RAM later... kinDa broke... anD i neeD to get a new keyboarD.... if u can't tell im having problems with my 'sd' i presseD 'd' there anD that is what i get...
