Kerio Personal Firewall to be discontinued

This is shocking news - so those who like KPF as I do - grab the latest version while you can...

This is beyond belief - first Sygate - now Kerio - smells like a conspiracy

It does suck though... I'm glad I've got triple backups of Sygate...

Well, it's good enough to have backups but still development will seize on the product which is bad - also from a security point of view ...

My guess... (Knowing Jeremy) - no firewall.

The only problem with Sygate is that it just got bought by Symantec, which could mean one of two things - either Sygate itself turns to crap, or Symantec gets a lot better. My guess is the former, since that's what happened with Partition Magic. I still have my PowerQuest Partition Magic installer, and I'm never gonna let go of it.

As for the stopped development, I know a lot of people who still use Kerio 2.x since it does the job (in terms of keeping people out). I can't really think of a situation where the current Sygate or Kerio would fail in their jobs.
