Yeah... but when you start up your comptuer, are all your programs up and running already? Hibernation can do that for you ... :whistle:

And there aren't any 10K raptors for laptops either... ;)

ya hibernation is great. when my comp start up on a normal boot, once im log in it takes about 5 secs until im actually able to open a program/folder and that is very fast, and thats on a 5400rpm hdd! therefore i dont really need to use it but i still do.

Well grafx your computer isn't really the fastest. :P

To speed up your boot make sure "quick-boot" is enabled in BIOS. Also check if there is an option for HDD delay and make that 0 seconds. And if there is an option for full-screen logo make sure that is on disabled. Also disable anything your aren't using in BIOS. Examples include firewire, IDE channel 1, SATA channels, serial/parallel ports, etc.

Thanks..., i'm waiting for it :)

But, is hibernation has any drawback as i have 256 MB of ram only ?

I would invest in another 256 Meg RAM. XP runs slow with that amount of RAM.
