Very nice Martijn. You pick up some color with the boxes down the right side and the buttons on the home page. As you can see on MSFN's main page, someone (xper ?) put some graphics down the right side and it is a very nice touch. It adds a little contrast and some color. The only thing that I think you might need to change is that some of your text is to light of a grey. But it's still a nice layout.

Hi Martijn,

I looked at your sight again. Nice. I had commented on some of the text being a little bit to light a grey. It maybe that since I have a resolution of 1280x1024 that the text is smaller and makes it a little harder to read.

Hmmm...

If you are on XP, then do try this to make it look better:

1. Right-click desktop, go to display properties.

2. Go to the "Appearance" tab there.

3. Click the "Effects" button (its towards bottom-right of the dialog box).

4. Enable "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts".

5. In that SAME drop-down box, choose "ClearType".

6. Click "OK" and apply the settings.

7. Now screen will look sort of blurry, dont mind that, complete the next set of steps.

1. Right-click desktop, go to display properties.

2. Go to the "Settings" tab there.

3. Click the "Advanced" button (its towards bottom-right of the dialog box).

4. You will now be looking at the "General" tab.

5. You have a drop-down box for "DPI setting".

6. Click it & choose "Large size (120 DPI)".

7. Click OK & apply these settings.

Now, provided that your refresh rate is above 75 Hz atleast, you will see that even at high resolutions, the on-screen text is comfortable to your eye.
