charlie_r Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 I bought a 20 inch LG LCD TV and was hoping to plug my PC into it (I originally thought it had a monitor input but when getting it out the packaging found out this was only a "service" socket ). It has Scart, S-Video and analog inputs. My 256MB Geforce FX has S-video and DVI out. When I use the S-video cable, the quality is rubbish. Would be ok for gaming but can barely read text when browsing (picture not at all sharp and dull colours). Have tried replacing cable but no luck.Do I need to get a more expensive card? (would this help?/if so, which one?)Is there another solution such as a converter from monitor port or DVI to scart...?Any ideas at all? Thanks.
fireware Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 You could return the TV where you bought it and get one with VGA inputs. If that doesnt work oh well.~ Fireware
ripken204 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 its not the card or the tv, its the svidio, the only reason the svidio was put into vid cards was for watching dvds/movies on ur tv off of u comp, that what i do, the movie quality is vry good but when i do anything else the quality sucks
KamiQuazi Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) Not to my knowledge...
