Sorry, must have been misinformed..

I first thought is was 8, but then some dude stated it was 8.2..

So I thank you for clearing that up.. :)

IBM is also a very bad HDD by the way..

I buyght one once, and it lasted 1 month, after that.. No IBM ever.. :P

And Powercolor is not accseptable.. It also lasts very short..

And now.. I was wondering..

Has enyone else had problems with theyr Abit Chipset coolercans on the MoBo's?

I have had 4 MoBo's from Abit my self so far, and all of them used the same fan.. Old and new MoBo's..

And on all of them the fan lasted max. 6 months before making weird sound and then stop running at all.. :P

Thats why I bought Abit AN8 Ultra, because it has no fan at all..

Just a heat-pipe from the Chipset to a cooler placed where you usualy have your COM ports and alike behind the comp.

But this MoBo seems to not work at all..

That surely may be my fault though.. :P

And now I'm just wondering: Always when I make partitions on a HDD is leaves 8MB as unpartitioned space?

For what reason is that?

Abit is actually in court in the US under a class action lawsuit for defective capacitors on their motherboards. Heh.

Funny, just found this text on this site: I received a computer to fix from a friend. The symptoms were common with a hardware problem: Turns on every time, but freeze after 15 seconds of use (usually at windows boot-up). I opened the case and took one good look at the motherboard; sure enough, leaking capacitors:

It's with images and all.. :)

Fits my problem 100%

But still don't know if this is my problem..

Chances are that if you have leaked capacitors, your board is toast.

It's a common problem with low quality motherboards. The only company that I have yet to see leaked capacitors from is ASUS.
