I slipstreamed XP Pro with SP 2 and all available hotfixes.

The following hotfixes are added, but after I install Windows and go to Windows updates, it still list them as required.

KB 890830

KB 885250

KB 885835

KB 887742

KB 887742

KB 885836

I used the previous slipstream and added only these hotfixes again, and created another boot ISO.

Again, after installation, Windows Updates still want to update these.

How do I get it to actually really slipstream?

Are you sure you got the right switches and correct syntax.

I checked my slipstream and found all yours had slipped OK in my install when I checked via the VirtualPC machine.

I have by the way the following exe files which did not install for me either: ~

KB814078.exe /passive /norestart /quiet

KB823182.exe -u -z –q

KB823559.exe -u -z –q

KB824105.exe -u -z –q

KB828026.exe /passive /norestart /quiet

"KB832483.exe /C:""dahotfix.exe /q /n"" /q:a"

KB833989.exe /Q:A /R:N

KB873374.exe /Q:A /R:N (HALT BOX)

import this registry setting instead:

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\GdiDetectionTool" /v "GDITool" /t REG_DWORD /d "00000001" /f

KB883939.exe /passive /norestart /quiet

KB890923.exe /q /n /z

KB891711.exe /passive /norestart /quiet

KB897715.exe /passive /norestart /quiet

I also slipstreamed in SVpack 4 (using win2K)

I'm thinking that the exe's that didnt work may be superceeded by newer fixes?

Is this possible?

Could be the same in your case.

KB 885250

KB 885835

have problems with both being integrated, see re: kb885835 & kb885250 for possible solutions.

KB890830 is the malicous software removal tool and insnot integrateable, you can apply a regtweak to make it think it ran.

Not sure why the others are having a problem
