gamehead200 Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 I've been trying to make icons with Photoshop recently, but everytime I save it, there is always a black line on the bottom and on the right. I keep saving it as a BMP file, then I change it to a ICO file. How can I get rid of this black line and how can I add transparency?
XPerties Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 dont know about that but I use Axialis.IconWorkshop.v5.01.Corporate and its easy as crap. Sedative might be able to help you with this.
LS_Dragons Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 You cannot just change the name to ICO. To get the BEST results for XP icons (with alpha transparency etc) you need to save the image as a PNG. Then you can use many different tools to convert to actual icon files. The best is Axialis IconWorkShop. Very easy to use - but will cost a few bucks for a full version (or you can search real hard and find several freeware tools that are almost as good.LS_Dragons
