whats wrong with this start menu?

It's becouse you have to few icons in the start menu. Nothing is wrong.

u could res hack explorer.exe and then shorten down the bitmap that is usually there and that way it wouldnt be a black line anymore.

gosh you're right. i needed to add 2 shortcuts, for a total of 5 icons high, for that "windows xp" picture to show up.

Haha, yeahhhhhh...or you could just turn off that bar by going to the Start Menu properties and turning on "Show Small Icons in Start Menu."

Here's the registry tweak for it:

some ppl dont like microscopic sized icons in there startmenu
