hey guys

we often repair windows installations when changing motherboards or IO subsystems in servers or client-class machines.

i was wondering if it was possible to fully automate this procedure? (start the installation, push enter to install windows (not R for recovery), it'll detect the old version of windows at which point you push R to repair it.

is this possible to do?

i posted this question in some microsoft support forums and it was suggested to me to try NTUpgrade=Yes, however that seems to do nothing.

we will be using this for both XP and 2003 server

any information that you have would be very much appreciated

thanks

I'm interesting too !!! but for an unattented cd we use OEM preinstall method and it's for new pc only ... for unattented repair I think we must sort of h*ck / "bidouiller" (in french !) the method ....

Goodbye.
