hi guys,

my PC {intel P4 2.8 , 256 RAM , MSI MB} is shutting down and sometimes restarting when trying to load hi applications like games(i.e GTA) and when it operates for long time period it can sutting down too.

what do you think about that problem? what can i do or change to regain my PC?

Maybe it is going into thermal shutdown? Is the CPU fan spinning ok and the cooling fins clean of dust?

Could be the power supply that is down on power output (try a 350 watt+) or as mentioned previously a CPU fan problem.

If it is the fan and you never want to change it again, look at the:

Zalman CNPS7000-CU or the 7700 (even bigger)

Massive copper fan with a big fan a 775 pin adaptor when you decide to upgrade.

any error messages? You ran chkdsk and checked for bios & driver updates, especially video card?
