oioldman Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 I just get winnt.sif to call the wpi.hta file direct and it works fine with no need to run the videochanger or fontinstaller part, no errors and all fonts and screen size are as expected.Nice and silent that way, though can see some people needing it.How do you change from .cmd to .exe? coucou Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 TNX Asta this kind attention by updating the wpi.exe.I'll give a chance to test it and let you know further.As in my case, after the WinXP install 1st boot, i got "Software\wpi\wpi.exe not find." error message. Then, I opened windows Explorer, click on DVD Software\wpi\wpi.exe and i got "There is no disk in the drive. Please, insert disk into the drive [Cancel] [Try again] [Continue]" error message. May you pls confirm my following files before starting test this updated wpi.exe.cmdlines.txt[COMMANDS]"RunOnceEx.cmd"RunOnceEx.cmdcmdow @ /HID@echo offSET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceExREG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\WPI\WPI.exe" /f1) I've put my WPI.exe in %CDROM%\Software\WPI Folder. oioldman Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 @astalavista - runs from cd a charm, just used the files as provided in the original, modified the wpi.css & .htm file and all worked fine.Also installs apps from the cd.@coucou - not tried running from cmdlines.txt, I just run from winnt.sif runonce section at the end. The CD looks ok, but is the file win51 on root of cd? if yes, then should be ok and yes, should be placed in the runonceex, otherwise it doesn't know you wish to install from CD.The rest looks ok, but as said i run from winnt.sif Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
