D8TA Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Does anyone have any good Pros and Cons for Office 2003 Standard vs Office 2003 Professional? I have checked Microsoft's website and obtain some information there but not enough. I am trying to compose a business need to upgrade our Office 2000 standard to Office 2003 Professional but need to review the Office 2003 Standard to compare. I was wondering if anyone else had to do this or has done this that could provide me some documentation on the Pros and Cons of the 2 different Office 2003 installations? Also does anyone know the upgrade price from Office 2003 Standard to Office 2003 Professional? They are thinking about going Standard and then upgrading if need be, but I am a do it right the first time type of person. Basically trying to sell Office 2003 Professional to the higher beings. I have mentioned Information Rights Management and the XML Technologies but they want more details of why Professional is better. Any information that anyone could provide would be helpful for this task.
jeeva Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 The only difference is, that Professional has Access, Publisher and Business Contact Manager, Access and Publisher can also be bought seperately, so you haven't to upgrade later, if you need one of, buy only that app you need.So what do you need? the only difference are the containing Applications.
jeeva Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 I've never seen that, what does it contain? Visio and Project?
