Lavdim Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 in some way I`ve managed to get 2 folders on my desktop that dosent contain anything. When I try to delete them I get this msg: "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk"And when I try to open them I get this msg: "C:\Documents and Settings\Lavdim\Dekstop\Case.. referes to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try agian. If it stil cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.""Case.." and "Case...." are the names of the folders.Does anyone have any idea of how I can solve this problem?I`m greatfull for all answers..-Lavdim-
rikgale Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Try searching for a progy called ForceDel.exe, and see if that does the job! Otherwise I can't help.
boooggy Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 or google for this program unlockerbut first try a restart and then delete.
raza Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 try to rename them and then check if u can delete or not.
Martin Zugec Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Use "rmdir /s /q" to remove, it is working differently from GUI deleting.
[deXter] Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Heres my program, ForceDelete. Just start it and try deleting any folder. When you get the 'cannot delete' message, ForceDelete will intercept the message and delete the folder for ya.
