how to define #xplode# = ?

Recommended Posts

im testing the xplode free version and want xplode run and setup the files direct from cd without need to copy the installation files to the harddrive first.

do you mean the #xplode# var is NOT the path xplode is installed to on the local disk?

so i can define the cdrom drive with a cmd file and then launch the xplode tool

to setup the whole components from rom.

please correct me if im wrong.

thanks

But, why defining the variable? Just show xplode where to find the files you want to install in your *.xml file.

do you mean the #xplode# var is NOT the path xplode is installed to on the local disk?

What do you mean with this? If your talking about the stage where Xplode installs your requested things onto your computer then that's not correct as Xplode does not install. It copies itself over to your HDD and then executes with the default *.xml file.

Not sure if I understood you question right..

I fyou're running off the CD, then you'll notice that #SOURCEDRIVE# is mapped to the CD itself.

So if you have your apps in CD:\Install\Apps\..., then you can use #SOURCEDRIVE#\Install\Apps\... etc. etc.
