arcele Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I just purchased a motherboard processor combo and aquired a Athlon 64 3800+ processor so, naturally, I installed win xp x64. I had fewer problems then I had originally anticipated I would, but the one that's really getting at me is the inability to mount cds/dvds as harddrives. On my old install of Win2K i used daemon tools, which worked great. That installation failed however, along with an installation of Alcohol 120%. I read around and found that both of these apps use 32 bit drivers and or compilers that aren't compatable w/ win xp x64.... does anyone know of a way to mount a drive from a CD in Win XP 64 Bit EditionTIA
ripken204 Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 nvm, newegg finally got it, unless u got it from sumwhere else?
Pyr0 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 if you have two networked computers you could run xp32 on one and xp64 on the other.use daemon tools on the xp32 pc to mount the images, and share the drive over the networksorted - disk images in xp64 with protection emulation too (filedisk does not emulate ANY protection methods)edit: or you could just wait for daemon tools 4
