azagahl Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I use Daemon Tools to mount iso, ccd, and similar files (CD volumes stored on hard disk). It creates a virtual SCSI device in Windows to do this.I have a couple of minor complaints about Daemon Tools- slow boot times and rarely, system instability - and was wondering if there are any good alternatives?
venim Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Well I've been using Alcohol 120% and I can say it's the best (for me)Why don't U give it a try?
arvindK Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I use Alcohol 120% too. Just 'cause it serve's as a burning s/ware and supports virtual drive. No prob with it. Worth a try.
d0p3y2k4 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 i would also say Alcohol 120% i rip all my apps & games with it very easy & understanding program
guzent Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 slysoft has a "FREE" virtual drive application.same makers of ClodeDVD, CloneCD, AnyDVDyou can download it from herehttp://www.slysoft.com/download/SetupVirtualCloneDrive.exenow... why pay for a mounting tool, when u can get it for free?LOLenjoy
joeymad Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Daemon Tools is by far the best of all of them. You can even enable different copy-protection emulations that will allow some backup copies to be used by mounting the image. also is free!
TheBlackMan Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I'm going to add a question since I've only used Daemon Tools and have been curious about purchasing Alcohol 120%. Which is faster to load, uses less memory usage, and which is more realiable? Also, does Alcohol 120% make good quality 1:1 copies even if they are copyrighted?@ joeymad : Doesn't Alcohol 120% have emulation options as well?
