hammermtl Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 hey guysI have a computer thats a few years old, dell dimension 4400, P4 2Ghz with a intel 845 chipset. Thats the only information i can find about the motherboard. I'm planning to do a fresh install and would like to upgrade the BIOS as well. The latest dell bios is version A06 from 2002 but intel has newer versions but i can't seen to find which one i need as there seems to be several models of the 845 board. How can i find which model i have?Also what would be the benifit of upgrading it?Thanks
boooggy Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 i say if everithing is working fine dont upgrade...but if u want to do it use the one from dell support site. u can also use everest to find out more info about your mobo.
