albator Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Does someone know a tweaking program that could replace TweakXP ?
Aegis Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 TweakXP is just a compilation of a variety of registry tweaks with an inteface.
bucketbuster Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 X-setup Pro.Search for 6.6, which is free for personal use.7 isn't free anymore
albator Posted April 24, 2005 Author Posted April 24, 2005 @AegisI agree but neverf found te cpu tweak and others. Is that a scam or a real tweak.
Aegis Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 The CPU tweak is:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]"SecondLevelDataCache"=xBut of course there is debate whether this tweak hinders or increases system performance. See my registry clarification guide:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=43464CMOS IRQ can be configured by opening up the system.ini file and under the section [386enh], type in IrqX=Y where x is the IRQ number of the CMOS clock(found in Hardware Manager) and Y is how many KB's you would like to dedicate to it. I recommend 4096.UDMA66 mode can be enabled using the following registry tweak:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000]"EnableUDMA66"=dword:00000001Processor Check:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager]"ProcessorControl"=dword:00000000Check out my tweak page:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=43465
