Hey Guys

I just got Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 and I wanted to test my new WINXP LITE Unattended CD Or ISO Image. when I let VPC to install the OS, it doesn't reconize my CD or my ISO. When I put my orginal XP CD, the setup process works.

Just for FYI, I did customize my new WINXP LITE. I intergated SATA Drivres (INTEL) Customizeed my Setup screen.

So can you please tell what the problem is. Am I doing something wrong? So Please!

THX!

Did you use nlite to create the ISO? If not, how did you create the ISO?

Have you tried booting the CD on your physical pc? You don't have to let it go through the whole install process, just see if it allows you to enter setup by pressing any key.

If it doesn't prompt you to press any key while booting, then your CD isn't bootable which is why Virtual PC 2004 and your physcial pc won't detect it. If this is the case, you have to re-create (or edit) your ISO and include the winxp boot sector.

I use Virtual PC 2004 SP1 with slipstreamed versions of Win2k Post SP4 and WinXP SP2 with no problems at all.

Hope this helps.
