Real VNC 4.0 + Configuration

Featured Replies

Hi every1,

this is my first posting in this great forum. I hope my english is good enough to ask you some questions.

I made an unattended WinXP installation with help from this site. I did it with setupmgr.exe and WPI.

My Question now is: Is there any possibilty to get a password set in Real VNC 4.0 for an uttattended installation?

I search about 2 days here for a switch but i didn't found one.

If anyone could give me a hint or a solution, this would be very nice.

Thx in advance

Schlecky

welcome.

in TightVNC I install it on a pc first, set all the passwords and settings, then i export the following registry key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]

and import it with all the values after silently installing tight vnc

thx for this answer.

I like Real VNC a bit more than thigt VNC. Can anyone tell me a way at realvnc?

Thx

the key may well be stored in the same place for all winvnc servers, have a look :)

For RealVNC 4 "Service mode"

Export your actual seetings into .reg (and you import this new for re-set RealVNC) form [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4]

and for "Application mode" export from [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4]

Your reg will contain password encrypted and settings like this :

"Password"=hex:2c,f2,81,e3,b1,49,e1,d7

"PortNumber"=dword:00000016

"RemoveWallpaper"=dword:00000001

"RemovePattern"=dword:00000001

"DisableEffects"=dword:00000001
