Please help me!

I have:

AMD 2000+ @ 2200+, 512 DDR 333, Radeon Sapphire 9600XT-X,...

My Windows XP sp2 and all my games are lagging a lot......

But i defragged my disk, i have MAX performance setting in XP and XP are 4 months old (installed),...

And still it works pretty poor.

I changed the MFT (Master Format Table) settings with diskkepper could this be the reason???????????

how can i change MFT (MAster format table) in REGISTRY ?

I use to game all the time. Which game is giving you lag? Do you play online multiplayer games? If so I can refer you to some sites. maybe you have a lot of services running in the background, spyware, adware? Could be so many different things.

Run Ad-Aware, Spybot, CCleaner, and your Anti-Virus.

Word I have is that Windows 2000 is faster with Athlon systems. Probably require a major amount of tweaking.

My suggestion is roll back your driver's to 4.12's or else try Omega's Drivers for your card cause you shouldn't have problems with doom 3, i play it fine using Cat's 5.3 on my main pc,.. which is a big drop down from your pc's specs along with me using a very crippled version of your card. you shouldn't be lagging at all with those spec's, also scan for spyware with ad-aware SE and spybot, but get back to us after you roll back the driver's and or switch to omega's drivers and do a scan for spyware. then we can get onto other possible solutions such as a reformat and checking memory and cpu for errors
