Very Slow Shutdown And Reboot

I installed my new unattended windows on my computer and on my brothers computer.

the problem is

both got very slow shutdown (windows) and rebooting...

I have to wait like 3 or 4 min for shutting down the computer

I REALLY Have no idea what it can be

please help me out

Just something simple, but have you tried to defrag?

oh ye i use also nlite

and the option

fast shutdown doesnt help.

You would be surprised how fragmented a newly installed Windows OS is.

Imagine how many temp files get created and deleted during the process...

Try running a defrag on it, it may actually help a little.

Also, I usually install the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service from Microsoft - it really does make a difference in shutdown time for me.

Check if you have set any options like 'clear page file at shutdown' or similar, cant remember if nlite has that tweak of the top of my head.

you may have some applications installed that cause the slowdown, check your startup folder to see various software that will autostart.
