boooggy Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 yes u can. i did it using partition magic which has also an utility called boot magic so i can boot between the 2 os.so i installed partition magic on my xp start the program and create a hidden primary partition. after that i used boot magic so i booted the partition i created and installed windows normally.
KenOath Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 You might want to add that boot-magic needs a small fat partition somewhere on the drive to install the boot loader to.
Takeshi Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 If you install two Win XP, one in each separate partition, you don't need any 3rd party boot manager. Just install XP one after the other and you'll have a boot menu.Boot manager just complicates things when a simple solution would do.
ktx Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 Thanks . But in menu boot loader have two option : Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Windows XP Professional !
D.Celt Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Yes, that's the default name for an XP installation, you can alter one of them by editing the C:\boot.ini file.

Just can't be bothered with R click My Computer...Back to the question, the OS you install last always comes up top on the boot menu.
