Dynaletik Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I just wanted to mention, that an update for Adobe Reader 7.0 is available. It has got the version 7.01 and adds more security to AR. I picked out the .msi file and uploaded it to my server, so you can download it here.Installation switch is AR701Update.msi /qb-! i think. For me it works.This Update should even work for the Acrobat. (Didn't test it).
ZileXa Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Why not use Foxit PDF Reader? just 1MB!!Adobe Reader uses more then 30mb... all unnessecary! lots of unnessacary files... Foxit works just like Adobe Reader.. so you perhaps wont notice the switch!No need for installer, just unpack that's all.

I will continue using Acrobat Reader. Need german language, because my UA-DVDs are even for friends who love german programs.

Seems to use less memory than adobe reader when viewing pdf's.And it doesn't seem to have the habit of keeping itself active in task manager like acrobat does.The only thing I don't like about it is its search function. I rather acrobat's. But, I can live with it.

SiMoNsAyS Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 acrobat sucks, 7.01 update and 7.0 isn't translated yet to spanish i'll take a look to Foxit PDF Reader but i guess nothing will be as compatible as acrobat
