Takeshi Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 You cannot simply clone XP to a computer with different hardware.See M$ KB 314082.
wullieb1 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Have you tried booting into safe mode and deleting the IDE drivers??Probably won't work but its worth a try.Orhttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=122926
firefoxthebomb Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 You cannot simply clone XP to a computer with different hardware.See M$ KB 314082.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>This is your case, you just can't do that with XP.
ckw2068 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Also, Activating XP on one system will not stop it from prompting you to reactivate it again in another system. There are lots of things that can trigger this.
rjz Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 1 way to maybe cheat this is to rerun the windows xp setup and do a reapir and choose a different hal. f6 I think. Might be f5.
