  1. I have an idea what the probem is, but no solution. Maybe someone else might though. My best guess is that windows is not shutting down correctly. I had a faulty hard drive, that would clunk once, then spin back up. My windows would freeze for about 5 seconds then carry on as normal. If I got a 'delayed write failed' message and rebooted, all my settings such as zonealarm program access etc were lost and I had to reconfigure everytime. If I had to reboot my pc as a result of it locking up, the same thing happened.
  2. Is it a genuine 5950ultra, or did u soft mod it to that from a 5900? Vivo on soft modded ultra cards won't work. Also, the 71.84 drivers are specifically written for the gf6 series, so compatability with the fx series is inconsistent. I've stuck with the 61.xx series and everything works fine.
  3. Man...... If I'd have known this 5 years ago! Did Win 98 have that key in the reg also?
  4. Hey - that vibrator thing reall works!!!!
  5. Sell your body in the far east - it'll be worth it lol
  6. Time to go invest in CS:S! Worth every penny

  8. Operation flashpoint from codemasters!
  9. OK! why is't my attachment there???
  10. You'll need a mouse utility called browser mouse that will allow you to configure the buttons. It's just like one of those annoying keyboards with 120 buttons across the top. The ones where you go to press quick save or something and hit the standby button instead! Here's athe program for your mouse - it works with every mouse I've had including a logitech mx700. Just make sure you select 5 button mouse.
  11. Open up Cs:s normally - not the dedicated server. Then choose create server from the mian menu. Check the box on the 1st tab you see on the server page and put in as many bots as you want.
  12. Thx! I think I shoulda asked after the 2nd time it did it. Never mind, will save a fortune on shampoo now.....
  13. I have setup my unattended cd on VPC, but all the **** drivers (the ones I added to unattended usin Nlite) are all Intel based (ie., vga, IDE network etc), in the device manager. Is there something wrong with my drivers or is it 'cos it's installed on virtual pc? Please say it's VPC as it's like the 20th time I've modified everything, created an ISO and installed! If I hadn't pulled all my hair out already, I'd have gone grey for sure
  14. I've seen a post somewhere in this forum that gives you the correct switches depending on whether its uising smartshield, install shield etc. Just use the forum search function and search for switches or installshield, should give you the info you need.
  15. Wohaay! I've found a way to do it finally. Kep screwing with the joliet stuff but had no luck, so...... Before I created the ISO, I just went in to the I386 folder and renamed the files it refused to copy: Cyclad-z.inf Cyclom-y.inf Headsp~1.wmz minipl~1.wmz utopia~1.wav utopia~2.wav utopia~3.wav utopia~4.wav sv-262e1.png sv-262e3.png sv-262e4.png they all had underscores in I386 so I changed those to the symbols XP install was looking for. - and ~ No more file copy errors!
  16. Hey all! I have just spent a long while configuring my XPcd for an unattended install with all my drivers etc. But I intend to install it to one of my SATA raid drives, which is Drive E: If I use it as it is, will it install straight on to the first (C: drive)? or do I need to add an entry somewhere that will tell it which drive to install to? eg: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS="SATA XP" /fastdetect
