Featured Replies

Auto login is set to 1 in winnt.sif. admin password is entered & encrpted. after install has completed it sits at the local admin box for password to be entered.. why wont it auto login for me..?

just use a reg file, makes things alot easier :P

Yes,

AutoLogon=Yes

AutoLogonCount=1

this is what I have set but it refuses to autologin. only need to auto login a few times but was just testing the once for now. dont want it to auto login forever.

From Microsofts Ref.chm

EncryptedAdminPassword=Yes

Instructs Setup to install the encrypted Administrator account password.

Important

If you use this key to install an encrypted Administrator password during an unattended installation, Autologon is disabled.

And from Deploy.chm
If AdminPassword = * (is blank) and AutoLogon = Yes, the computer logs on only one time, regardless of the value given for AutoLogonCount. However, if AdminPassword = password, the computer logs on repeatedly and the non-blank password is saved in the registry.
