Kelsenellenelvian Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 I have my standard ms wireless optical mouse and I also have a 5 port usb hub with one port of it heading into the tower I have never had any use for the inside port.My question is: can i put the reciever for my mouse inside my tower? I mean can I affixe it to the bottom of the inside of my tower and still be able to use it fine?
rendrag Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 I don't see why that wouldn't work. I would assume your range might decrease a bit with all the power inside the case, but as long as you're less than say, 10 feet from the receiver, you should be alright.
MCT Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 thats a cool idea, i currently have a wired mx510, LMK, i might buy a cheap mouse 2 try it out too
XtremeMaC Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 inside port? wow that's the first time i hear that, u might have plugged it wrong or something, does it actually work? if it works u'll be fine with the mouse, ms wireless has long range.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 Yeah the **** thing even said on the box that it has 5 ports but on is on the INSIDE of my case. YES it works I had a pocket drive in it for awhile. These cards are not really un-common around here.
MCT Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 oh THATS what they mean, for external 1 internal learn something new everyday
diesel_98a Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 if one is added to the inside of the case, would it be very hard to bump up the signal strength on it or maybe just create a whole new transmitter/receiver for it?
puntoMX Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 What I did before was using double sided tape to tape it on the front of my housing and use the internal connector to connect it. So, that way I realy had wireless .ps, don´t put it iun a metal box, your signal will go bad, just tape it on the front, for example on drive bay fronts that are not used .
