SIRCOOKS Posted February 27, 2005 Share Posted February 27, 2005 just recently purchased this dvd burner from new egg http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-131-239&depa=1in its description it says 8x dvd-r burning capabilities, so all i have right now are 4x disks, and it wont allow me to burn on them, why is that, im thinking about sending it back, but i have a shipment of 8x disks coming, ....any suggestions as to why those disks aren't burning...holla back Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

yoz7120 Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 If your balnk DVD's are 4x or 4 speed, then you can only burn them at 4x. Theres nothing you can do about it as your DVD burner will check to see what speed the disks are and burn at that speed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
