BlkDrgn465 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I am doing an unattended install of xp pro sp2...and I'm trying to install .net 1.1 silently using the svcpack.inf method. I have tried using the quiet switches listed in the help file of "dotnetfx.exe," the help file of the msi i extracted from dotnetfx.exe, and i've used the switches that the microsoft knowledge base lists for it. (dotnetfx.exe /q:a /c:"install /l /q") I've tried using all of these switches in svcpack.inf, guirunonce, and runonceex.cmd, and nothing installs it. The package installs fine post install, but never integrated.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Stinger12348 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 download .net from here http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ and it'll do the work for you.
MartinaL Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 so you don't need any swithces at all for these??
totoymola Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Astalavista repacked this including the latest kb updates. Maybe you should give it a try. Oh ryan also has a switchless installer. You have two options.
dare2001 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 so you don't need any swithces at all for these??<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I grabbed Ryans and it works like a charm (without switches)

RyanVM Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 No clue, you're the first to have such an issue that I'm aware of

saitoh183 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I installed Ryans silent .Net installer, why does Windows Update still offer an update? (i used the updated version 2/22/05 )^I have the same prob. But i just dont install it.
RyanVM Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I have no clue what the problem is. I've confirmed that the version on my site is the exact version I use on my own CDs, which of course works fine.
