.net 1.1 Silent

Featured Replies

I am doing an unattended install of xp pro sp2...and I'm trying to install .net 1.1 silently using the svcpack.inf method. I have tried using the quiet switches listed in the help file of "dotnetfx.exe," the help file of the msi i extracted from dotnetfx.exe, and i've used the switches that the microsoft knowledge base lists for it. (dotnetfx.exe /q:a /c:"install /l /q") I've tried using all of these switches in svcpack.inf, guirunonce, and runonceex.cmd, and nothing installs it. The package installs fine post install, but never integrated.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Astalavista repacked this including the latest kb updates. Maybe you should give it a try. :)

Oh ryan also has a switchless installer. You have two options.

I installed Ryans silent .Net installer, why does Windows Update still offer an update? (i used the updated version 2/22/05 )

No clue, you're the first to have such an issue that I'm aware of

ive used this installer on many clean installs without any WU issues...

I have the same prob. But i just dont install it.

I have no clue what the problem is. I've confirmed that the version on my site is the exact version I use on my own CDs, which of course works fine.
