Outlook Express Data Disappears

Featured Replies

Today I went on to my HP Pavilion 6630 and read my e-mail and everything was fine. I closed the page and went on the internet and I returned later to check for e-mail and all the data - inbox, deletes, address book, etc, was deleted. I checked by going to the main Comcast site and logged in there and everything was lost there, too. The other PC, the Dell with XP didn't lose anything. I went to re boot the HP Pc and it went into a scan automatically, as if there were damaged files. I left for awhile and came back after the scan, and the Outlook Express was still missing everything. I don't know what caused this. Is there a way to get the data back? (I am not a very good computer person)

Thanks, John

OE once lost all my business correspondance for more than 3 years. I was just doing a backup, and had erased the old CD-RW - worst possible timing. Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Never trusted it since that. :}
